Julianne Lima, Boston 25 News

Reporter

Julianne joined the Boston 25 News team in September 2019. As a Massachusetts native, she is thrilled to be back home reporting the news where she grew up! Before making her way to Boston, Julianne spent more than three years waking up at 2 a.m. and drinking obscene amounts of coffee. She was the weekend morning anchor and a weekday morning reporter at WPRI-TV in Providence covering all the news Rhode Islanders need to start their day. She also spent two years working as an anchor, reporter and producer at WBNG-TV in Binghamton, New York. Julianne graduated summa cum laude from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism and a minor in Psychology. She was also awarded the Don Edwards Broadcast Journalism Award for "demonstration of superior writing, reporting and performance skills." Her passion for TV journalism grew as an intern for NBCUniversal in London, England, during the 2012 Summer Olympics. From there, she also interned at WJAR-TV in Providence, KISS 108 FM radio in Boston, WSYR-TV in Syracuse, and WBNG-TV in Binghamton. She was also an anchor and reporter for the SU student-run television station, CitrusTV. When Julianne isn't working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Dan, reading, watching movies, traveling and exploring new places. Have a story idea or just want to say hello?
