WORCESTER, Mass. — The manhunt for Karen Solomon, the Worcester woman who has been missing since the death of her police officer husband at their home last week, continued Monday.
Boston 25 News spotted heavy police activity outside the Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital at 189 May Street.
Boston 25 learned that RCAP Solutions evacuated all employees at the facility and told them to leave because of an investigation. They were not told any specific details.
Monday’s new police activity comes after crews had returned to Coes Pond over the weekend as part of the ongoing effort to locate Karen Solomon, who has not been seen since Tuesday.

According to Worcester police, the pond’s murky conditions have made the search difficult and slow-moving as investigators work through the area.
Karen Solomon’s disappearance came to light after authorities found the body of her husband, Worcester Police Officer Kurt Solomon, at the couple’s home last week. Authorities issued an arrest warrant in connection with the investigation Friday.
Retired Massachusetts State Police officer Todd McGhee said the warrant likely indicates investigators have gathered significant evidence in the case.
“Based on what they have for evidence, that charge most likely came from information resulting from the medical examiner,” McGhee said.
McGhee also suggested the search of Coes Pond may be focused on locating potential evidence.
“It doesn’t appear that the search around the pond is necessarily for a body. I believe it’s more towards a weapon maybe being tossed in a body of water,” he said.

Authorities have not publicly detailed what evidence they believe may be in the pond and have not released additional information about Karen Solomon’s disappearance.
Kurt Solomon served with the Worcester Police Department for more than 30 years and was also an Army veteran. He is survived by his two sons.
Funeral arrangements for Officer Solomon are scheduled for this week. His wake will be held Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home in Worcester. His funeral is scheduled for Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Church on Main Street in Worcester.
Officials have said Karen Solomon should be considered armed and dangerous. Investigators say surveillance video shows her last seen just before 6 a.m. Tuesday morning on Westcott Street, near her home on Wildwood Avenue.
The investigation remains active, and officials continue asking anyone with information about Karen Solomon’s whereabouts to contact Worcester police.
The City of Worcester has also announced that both Stearns Tavern and Coes Pond Parks would be closed for the foreseeable future as part of the ongoing manhunt for Karen Solomon.
