MSP seeking help in finding Pittsfield man missing for several days

William Malloy missing man

ADAMS, Mass. — Authorities are currently searching for a missing Pittsfield man who was last seen at the beginning of the month, Massachusetts State Police said.

On Monday, Aug. 10, State Police said William Malloy, 57, was last heard from on Aug. 2, when he didn’t show up for a new job he was supposed to start the following day. Malloy also never showed up for a visit with his family in upstate New York on Aug. 6.

On Aug. 8, Pittsfield officers checked his house, but found no traces of Malloy or his car.

Malloy’s car was later found parked at a trail head off Gould Road in the town of Adams, near the Greylock Glenn, part of Mount Greylock State Reservation. Officials searched the area, but again, no sign of Malloy. K9 units were brought in to help facilitate the search, but also to no avail.

The search teams did not find Mr. Malloy or any additional evidence.

Anyone who believes they have seen Malloy is urged to immediately call State Police-Cheshire at 413-743-4700, or call 911.
