Boston Medical Center Emergency Department closed until Tuesday due to flooding from burst pipe

BOSTON- — The Boston Medical Center Emergency Department will be closed until Tuesday as crews work to repair damage after a pipe froze and burst, flooding the area.

All patients that were in the affected areas of the burst pipe were safely moved to other areas of the hospital, BMC told Boston 25 News in a statement.

BMC also advised those seeking medical care to seek treatment at other hospitals in the area. Ambulances will be diverted to other hospitals.

Those in inpatient and outpatient clinics were not affected by the flooding.
