WEEKEND RAIN CHANCES
Today will be cloudy and cooler, with highs only in the low 70s. Showers or drizzle are possible at times throughout the day, but there will also be some dry breaks. Rain will be light, so this is not a washout.
While it’s not an ideal beach day, you should still be aware of the higher risk for dangerous rip currents along the coast - mainly the South Shore and outer Cape.
Tomorrow will be warmer, with temperatures climbing close to 80 degrees. Rain and thunderstorms are possible, and while it will not rain all day, we are watching an elevated risk for strong to severe storms. While the threat for severe weather is not widespread, those that develop may pack a punch through the late afternoon and evening with gusty winds and some instances of hail possible.
