FALL RIVER, Mass. — A wrongful death lawsuit filed in the so-called "texting suicide case" has been resolved.
An attorney for the mother of Conrad Roy declined to say anything else about the case, other than to confirm the case had been resolved, according to the Boston Herald.
Roy killed himself in 2014 after receiving a series of texts and a phone call from his girlfriend Michelle Carter.
Carter was found guilty of manslaughter in Roy's death in 2017 and began serving a 15-month sentence earlier this year after an appeal of her conviction was denied.
She's now planning to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
