WORCESTER, Mass. — Police are investigating Friday after a Golden Pizza delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint on Forbes Street Thursday.
Police said the man was about to deliver pizza to a home when two men approached him. One allegedly showed a handgun while the other punched the delivery driver in the face. They took his money and a set of keys, according to police.
"It's a trigger away, he can shoot you for a few hundred bucks, you can lose your life for a few hundred bucks," the driver said.
The suspects fled, running toward Orne Street.
"I'm very nervous, a lot of stress. I'm scared to go on my deliveries right now, I'm scared I don't know what will happen tonight," the driver said Friday night.
The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, thin build, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing dark clothing, a mask and armed with a handgun.
The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male, thin build, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, wearing dark clothing and a mask.
Police said there have been a string of armed robberies involving delivery drivers. Since Dec. 1. Officers have responded to six total, including the robbery of a delivery driver for Wings over Worcester on Dec. 4, Freshway Pizza on Dec. 5, Wings over Worcester again on Dec. 8, Domino's Pizza on Dec. 15, Great Wall Chinese on Dec. 12 and Golden Pizza on Dec. 17.
