LONDONDERRY, N.H. — President Trump chose New Hampshire as his first campaign stop since the RNC, partially because he wants voters to know how important their four electoral votes are, especially after Hilary Clinton won by a slight margin in 2016.
President Trump saying his next four years will be as good as his last four.
“We did everything right,” President Trump said. “We shut down China shut down Europe and other Democrats are opening things back up.”
Thousands of dedicated supporters from all over New England gathered in Londonderry, to watch President Trump’s personal plea to Granite State voters.
“I want to thank New Hampshire for all you’ve done for me,” said Trump.
From Covid 19, to the economy to immigration, supporters loved every word.
“They want to eliminate America’s border in the middle of a pandemic and restore dangerous disgusting sanctuary cities,” said Trump.
“We love President Trump and we’re here to support him,” said Nancy Vond from Shapleigh Maine.
We did see one brief scuffle from President Trump supporters who didn’t like a protester in their mix.
“We had our signs, I think they’re kind of funny and also true. A bunch of them came at me and chanted and one of the men grabbed me by the throat and threw me to the ground.
At least one person was arrested from that scuffle including Natalya Pitt’s husband.
“They are putting the handcuffs on him saying he assaulted somebody,” said Pitt who traveled from Canton Massachusetts. “He did not assault anybody he just knocked her phone off he didn’t break anything he just wanted them to shut up.”
President Trump likely not aware of this protest, but he did address other protests we’ve seen around the country.
“They’re just looking for trouble,” said Trump. “It has nothing to do with George Floyd. They don’t know who George Floyd is. If you ask them who is George Floyd they couldn’t even tell you. These are just bad people, troublemakers.”
Speaking for more than an hour, President Trump also slammed Joe Biden, calling him the worst candidate Democrats have ever picked.
Still, recent polls have Biden slightly ahead.
