PADUCAH, Ky. — Wildlife authorities in Kentucky seized two alligators housed illegally from a Paducah man’s home Friday.
In a statement posted to Facebook, officials with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources confirmed that conservation officers were acting on a tip and were able to relocate the alligators to the Kentucky Reptile Zoo.

The unidentified 55-year-old man admitted to keeping the five-foot long reptiles in his home and has been charged with two counts of propagation and holding of wildlife without a permit, WLKW reported.
Both counts are punishable by up to a $500 fine, the TV station reported.
In Kentucky, it is illegal to import or possess alligators and caimans, The Associated Press reported.
