CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. — Police are searching for the person who abandoned an emaciated dog Sunday by tying it to a fence and leaving it in the woods of a Pennsylvania park.
Carlisle Borough Police responded around 10:53 p.m. after being called about the continued sounds of a dog barking in the back of Letort Park, WHP-TV reported.
Officers arrived to find a 1-year-old gray pit bull with a silver harness and black collar tied to a fence along a bridge in the woods at the back of the park.
It is unclear when the dog was left in the woods. The dog appeared to be malnourished investigators said.
