Puma bringing North American headquarters to Assembly Row

SOMERVILLE, Mass. — Puma is moving its North American headquarters from the suburbs to the city.

The sneaker maker says it has signed a lease to occupy an office building under construction at Somerville's Assembly Row.

The company says abandonding its corporate offices in Westford will consildate its operations in greater Boston.

Puma plans to hire about 100 new employees, bringing its total to 550 employees.

Last year, Reebok moved from Canton to the Seaport. New Balance and Converse also moved thier headquarters to the city.
