EVERETT, Mass. — A motorcyclist was hit and killed by a car in Everett Wednesday morning, according to police.
Massachusetts State Police said the motorcyclist was hit by the car on Broadway near Hancock Street just before 6 a.m.
Police say the motorcyclist was struck by a vehicle from behind and was unresponsive when emergency officials arrived. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not yet been released.

Police said they were looking for the driver, who left the scene after the crash. There is no word on a vehicle description.
No charges have been filed and the investigation is ongoing. Police have not yet identified the victim as they need to notify family members.
