Man seriously injured in hit-and-run in Brockton

BROCKTON, Mass. — Police in Brockton are currently searching for the driver who hit a man and fled the scene, leaving the victim with life-threatening injuries.

Authorities told Boston 25 News the victim, a 53-year-old man, was crossing the street on the intersection of Main and Harvard streets when he was hit by a car.

The car, described only as gray, continued on to Main Street. Police have no suspects at this time.

The victim was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton and then taken to a Boston hospital.

Officials continue to investigate this crash with the assistance of the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction team.

No further details were made immediately available.
