HAVERHILL, Mass. — Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash on Main Street that killed a Haverhill man early Tuesday morning.
A spokesperson for the Essex County District Attorney's office said 28-year-old Stephen Merritt of Haverhill crashed his motorcycle in the area of 1038 Main St. just after 1 a.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other details have been released.
Haverhill Police, Massachusetts State Police and officers from Plaistow, New Hampshire were seen collecting evidence at the crash site. It's not clear why officials from Plaistow were involved in the investigation.
