Mansfield PD reminds drivers to clear snow with hilarious viral infomercial

MANSFIELD, Mass. — Mansfield Police are offering a solution for all those people who find it too difficult to brush snow off their cars.

Instead of posting the usual "clear snow before you go" message to their Facebook page, Mansfield officers made an infomercial for the "Snow Enforcer."

Complete with a tactical red dot sight, butt stop and flashlight, the Snow Enforcer is Mansfield's all-in-one solution for snow scrapers -- complete with wolverine hair for the brush.

Clearing snow off your car can be a pain. As with any project, it comes down to having the right tools for the job. MPD R&D has been hard at work designing our latest product, and with winter still hanging on, we thought it was the perfect time to launch our line of Tactical Snow Removal Systems. Remember to Clear Snow Before You Go. When you leave snow on the car, it not only impairs your ability to, you know, see where you're going, but it can also be a hazard for other drivers. As the temperatures rise in March, snow-capped vehicles can dump sheets of snow on other cars blinding the operators and causing damage. The amusing parody of a bad infomercial reminds drivers to clear snow off their car, and it had been shared almost 2,000 times by Friday morning.

It's a different approach to sharing an important message -- particularly after a series of dangerous near-misses with ice falling off cars on highways.
