QUINCY, Mass. — A pedestrian was hit by a van on Route 3A in Quincy Thursday morning, leading to road closures and expected delays for the morning commute, Quincy police said.

Quincy police said the victim, a 36-year-old man from Quincy, was transported to Boston Medical Center after they were hit by a van on the Southern Artery at McGrath Highway. He is in critical condition, but is conscious, police said.
The driver of the van stayed at the scene.
