Things to do in Massachusetts this weekend

Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are a few ideas.

Chinatown August Moon Festival

Celebrate Chinese culture by heading over to the 53rd Chinatown August Moon Festival this Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The festival is free and open to the public and celebrates an important Chinese holiday similar to American Thanksgiving and features lion dancing, Chinese music, arts and crafts, and plenty of food vendors.

Rockport Acoustic Music Festival

Speaking of festivals, you can head north to Rockport to enjoy some live music on the water this Sunday. The Rockport Acoustic Music Festival runs from noon to 6 p.m. at Millbrook Meadow across from the front beach. Bring your bathing suit, have a picnic, and enjoy.

Shrewsbury Summer Festival

I guess this is a popular weekend for festivals. The Shrewsbury Summer Festival is also happening this Sunday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. You can enjoy food trucks, vendors, fun kids’ activities, and live music at the Scandinavian Athletic Club on lake street. This festival is also free to enjoy.

Wherever you go this weekend, have fun.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
