Two men arrested after a crash involving a stolen car in Boston

BOSTON, Mass. — Two New Bedford men have been arrested after crashing a stolen car into a construction site in downtown Boston Thursday afternoon.

State Police attempted to stop a stolen 2021 Toyota Venza at approximately 12:40 p.m. in the area of Merrimack Street and New Chardon Street. The driver of the car failed to stop for police, and crashed into the back of a construction vehicle moments later. No pursuit was initiated, according to State Police.

Sky25 was over the scene on Merrimack Street at Lancaster Street where the stolen car sustained heavy damage.

No one was injured in the crash, but 20-year-old Kenny Gedeon and 20-year-old Curtis Monteiro were both taken into custody.

Their exact charges are still pending.
