Police arrest 4 teens following large fight at South Shore Plaza

BRAINTREE, Mass. — Braintree Police arrested four teenagers Thursday following a large fight at the South Shore Plaza, Interim Deputy Police Chief Sean Lydon told Boston 25 News.

Officers on patrol at the shopping mall reported several young men got into a physical altercation in the food court around 4:30 p.m.

A 15-year-old Milton boy was taken to a hospital with minor injuries he suffered from being kicked during the fight, according to Lydon. A 14-year-old Milton boy who told police he was also assaulted declined medical treatment.

Officers arrested a 13-year-old Boston boy, a 14-year-old Brookline boy and a 14-year-old Boston boy and charged them with disorderly contact and resisting arrest. The Brookline boy faces an additional charge of resisting arrest. Officers also arrested a 16-year-old Boston boy and charged him with trespassing.

Lydon said none of the teens were armed.
