NORWOOD, Mass. — Firefighters rescued a teenager from a burning home in Norwood Tuesday afternoon.
Norwood Police Officer Kevin McDonough alerted dispatchers around 2 p.m. of a fire on the front porch of a Nahatan Street home.

Firefighters arrived on scene less than two minutes later.
They said the fire had spread to the first floor and the conditions were deteriorating rapidly when they found a teenager trapped on a stairwell inside the home. They rescued the teenager, who wasn’t hurt.
The fire extended to all three floors of the home.
Norwood’s fire investigators are currently working to determine what started the fire.
