BOSTON — An outdoor concert venue at the Suffolk Downs racetrack in Boston will open its doors to performers and guests later this month.
The Stage at Suffolk Downs, Bowery Boston’s new seasonal outdoor general admission concert venue, will debut on June 16 with a headlining act from Steve Lacy.
Lacy’s performance will mark the first night of Re: SET, a three-day touring festival that will also feature headliners LCD Soundsystem on June 17 and Boygenius on June 18.
The seasonal venue can accommodate up to 8,500 concertgoers on the infield of the racetrack.
Parking is limited and must be purchased in advance. No cash will be accepted on-site.
In 2017, Suffolk Downs was purchased by HYM and its investors with a vision to create a welcoming neighborhood designed around new ways of living and working. Today, the property is being reborn as a new urban district with a dynamic mix of uses and offerings connected and supported by public open space, neighborhood retail, and civic spaces.
Tickets to the shows can be purchased here. Parking can be reserved here.
