SAGAMORE, Mass. — A serious crash near a Cape bridge Friday afternoon sent multiple people to the hospital.
Troopers responding to Route 3 southbound just prior to the Sagamore Bridge for a multi-car crash found that three vehicles were involved and three victims had sustained injuries, according to Massachusetts State Police.
The victims, whose injuries are considered serious but not life-threatening, were transported to area hospitals.
All southbound lanes were shut down while crews investigated the wreck. All lanes both on and off the Cape have now been reopened.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
No further information was immediately available.
