The death of a man whose body was found near a Lynn roadway Thursday is being investigated as an apparent homicide, the Essex County District Attorney’s office said Friday.
Lynn police officers responded to the area of the 200 block of South Common Street just after 6:15 a.m. Thursday after receiving a call about a deceased man, according to Essex District Attorney Paul F. Tucker.
The 52-year-old, who has not been identified yet, was found dead with apparent trauma.
A homicide investigation is underway.
“Authorities say there is not considered to be any wider threat to the public at this time,” the Essex County District Attorney’s office said.
