Car crashes into women’s gym in Georgetown

GEORGETOWN, Mass. — A car crashed into a women’s gym in Georgetown on Sunday.

Witnesses say the driver thought the car was in drive when it was actually in reverse.

He stepped on the gas so hard that the car backed up right through the building of Get In Shape For Women on Central Street.

The car was almost completely inside the gym when it finally came to a stop.

Tim Radzinski, who works at Crosby’s Marketplace next store, says it was shocking to hear the crash.

“Next thing I knew a loud bang, everything started shaking, so I walk outside and next thing I know all I can see is the front end of the car, everything else was in the store,” said Radzinski. “And people were starting to freak out, only thing I could think of was ‘Crap, are these guys open?’”

Luckily, the gym was closed at the time and no one was hurt.
