BRAINTREE, Mass. — The most recent TikTok challenge has made its way to Braintree.
Boston 25 News obtained a school letter sent to parents after a student participated in the “slap a teacher” challenge on Thursday.
The letter says that any physical assault of staff will be immediately reported to the Braintree Police Department. The student will also face “significant school-based discipline, up to and including expulsion.” The student could also face legal charges from assault to indecent assault and battery.
“We ask that all parents communicate with their children about the potential consequences of such behavior but, just as importantly, about treating others with the respect, kindness, and civility that everyone in our schools, and our society, deserves,” the letter said.
