BOSTON — A Boston man was arrested Tuesday morning for allegedly slamming into the side of a State Police cruiser on Friday and fleeing the scene.
44-year-old Keion Rowell is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, driving with a suspended license, leaving the scene of a crash causing personal injury, and trafficking cocaine.
According to State Police, Rowell used his car to ram a cruiser multiple times after failing to stop in Boston around 8 p.m. Friday on Thwing Street. The trooper in the cruiser was transported to an area hospital for evaluation.
Authorities say Rowell abandoned the car and fled the scene on foot, where police and K9 units were unable to locate him. Narcotic evidence and paraphernalia was allegedly recovered from the scene and Rowell was identified as a suspect.
Local, state, and federal law enforcement authorities apprehended him in Randolph.
He will be arraigned at a later date.
