Inmates of Middlesex Jail temporarily relocated due to water issues

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Inmates at the Middlesex Jail in Cambridge were temporarily relocated Monday as the Middlesex Sheriff's Office worked to correct water system issues at the Edward J. Sullivan Courthouse.

According to the Middlesex Sheriff's Office, the Edward J. Sullivan Courthouse, which houses the Middlesex Jail, was experiencing difficulties with the water system.

The Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance was notified and is working to fix the problem.

In order to maintain public safety, additional officers were brought in and inmates were relocated to other facilities.
