Bedford VA offering COVID vaccinations to all eligible veterans

BEDFORD, Mass. — The Veterans Affairs Healthcare System in Bedford will make COVID-19 vaccinations available to all veterans enrolled in VA health care, regardless of age, as of Thursday, Feb. 25, per an announcement by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

The VA will administer the Pfizer vaccine to veterans who schedule an appointment in Bedford. Afterward, those veterans will be automatically scheduled for their second doses three weeks later.

“Designated Caregivers enrolled in VA’s Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers Support may receive the COVID vaccine with their veteran,” the Department of Veterans Affairs wrote in their release.

Veterans currently enrolled may call the VA’s COVID-19 vaccination line at 781-687-4000 to schedule an appointment.
