Doctor at Beth Israel, Harvard Medical School talks with Boston 25 News about flattening the curve

BOSTON — The cases of COVID-19 in Massachusetts continue to rise, but how bad will this really get? That’s the big question so many of us have been asking, will there be a surge in cases soon that could overwhelm hospitals?

Dr. Mike Gibson of Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center joined Boston 25 News to talk about how it’s not too late to flatten the curve down the road.

The projections and research discussed in the story can be found online at

“Now’s the time to prepare,” said Dr. Gibson. “What we do today impacts things two weeks from now, that’s when people become critically ill.”
