4th graders allegedly plot to kill their teacher

ELBA, NY (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Students in the fourth grade at a New York school were allegedly plotting to kill their teacher.

Three 9-year-old kids who attend an elementary school in Elba, a small town in upstate New York, allegedly talked about killing their teacher with hand sanitizer, according to The New York Daily News.

The students reportedly knew that their teacher was extremely allergic to sanitizer as she had banned it from the classroom. So, the students reportedly told others that they planned to kill their teacher before winter break by putting hand sanitizer around the classroom.

The chief deputy of the Genesee County Sheriff's Department told the Daily News that the only motive police discovered was that the children thought the teacher was mean. After learning about the scheme, police decided that it was “idle chatter,” according to the Daily News and the students were not charged. The school system, however, is reportedly taking the threats very seriously.

Two students were disciplined, according to The Batavia Daily News.
