Heating up

Warming back up

Patchy fog will burn off by 8 AM, then hazy, hot and humid weather will drive the forecast. Highs near 90 degrees are expected. Smoke from distant wildfires will hover over New England. Even so, the UV Index will be very high and a sunburn will easily develop in the bright conditions.

It will be a mild night for dining out or passing time by a fire pit. Just remember to keep the doors and windows closed to keep the AC strong inside with relatively muggy weather outside.

Smokey skies will thicken tomorrow, leading to a milky look. Morning will be brightest. Clouds will increase in the afternoon as a cold front moves towards us. An isolated pop up shower is possible after 2 PM, but it looks like most wet weather will hold off until 5 PM or later. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will come through along the cold front overnight.

We have the chance for some lingering rain on Wednesday. I’m hopefully that we’ll dry out quickly, but if the front is slower to pull away we could see a soggier, cloudier forecast. Highs in the upper 70s return and rule for the rest of the week.

Another front is timed for late Thursday with some afternoon showers and storms likely.
