After a gorgeous day, we are getting ready for a stronger storm to start the work week off. Tonight will remain dry, clouds will thicken up overnight. Heading out the door early Monday, dress for chilly weather, and grab the rain gear for Monday afternoon.
A potent storm will track to our west Monday. Rain will get steady and heavier Monday afternoon, with strong winds arriving during that time as well. Minor coastal flooding will be a concern, however it won’t be our top threat. Expect 1-2″ of rainfall through Monday night, you’ll have to watch for ponding on roads and even some localized flooding in poor drainage areas. A HIGH WIND WATCH is in effect starting Monday afternoon with gusts 50-60 mph possible. You’ll want to charge your phones or devices in advance with the risk for scattered power outages. Pack your patience for that evening commute!
REST OF THE WEEK
The worst of the rain comes to an end by sunrise Tuesday, however lingering showers will keep us damp and dreary. Warmer than normal temperatures will settle back to seasonable with a chance of a flurry or shower Wednesday. We are watching for another potential storm next weekend, it is too early to know for certain - so check back in with us this week as we adjust the forecast.
