FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — The New England Patriots have reportedly placed two offensive linemen -- left tackle Isaiah Wynn and left guard Michael Onwenu -- on the COVID-19 list, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.
Wynn is in his third season in the NFL, all of which have been played in New England. The Georgia product has protected the blindsides of Tom Brady, Cam Newton and Mac Jones during his time in Foxborough. So far in 2021, he has been on the field for all of the offensive snaps in the four games the Pats have played thus far on the season.
Onwenu had played in all of the team’s offensive snaps this year before Sunday night’s loss to Tampa Bay, where he took the field for just 56% of the offensive plays. The second-year lineman out of Michigan has played across the O-line for New England in his brief career, also lining up at right tackle for the Pats a season ago.
