BOSTON — Red Sox slugger David Ortiz lodged a baseball in the screen attached to the Pesky Pole at Fenway Park during batting practice Thursday night.
The Red Sox are hosting Ortiz' former team, the Minnesota Twins, and the 10-time All-Star hit the ball so hard it became stuck in the screen.
A maintenance crew brought a ladder onto the field to remove the ball before Thursday's first pitch.
