WRENTHAM, Mass. — A 74-year-old man was rushed to the hospital Saturday after a tree fell on top of him.
A group of nuns at Mount St. Mary's Abbey heard the man's screams around 4 p.m. as they prepared for their afternoon prayers. The nuns called 911 to alert police.
The man was trapped for more than two hours before help arrived.
Crews cut the tree off of the man and he was taken to Boston Medical Center for leg injuries and hypothermia.
