WORCESTER, Mass. — Police in Worcester say they have found the man who was driving a vehicle that was involved in a deadly hit and run crash.
The crash happened sometimes after midnight Saturday in the area of 984 West Boylston St, but the man wasn't discovered until almost 3 a.m.
Fifty-six-year-old Frank Jeff Call of Worcester was lying in the road when officers arrived. He was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Fragments of a vehicle were around Call, but the driver is no were to be seen. Officers believe the car was a 2000-2002 GMC Yukon or Sierra SUV. The vehicle is missing its passenger side mirror, and has other damage near the headlight and grill on the passenger side.
Saturday afternoon 21-year-old Vincent Green was arrested. He is facing several charges including leaving the scene of a crash and motor vehicle homicide.
Friends said Call worked as a security guard at Union Station in Worcester.
"He was a real gentleman, willing to help anybody around here and everybody really liked him. He would help anybody, if anybody needed train fare, he'd take it out of his own pocket," said Chris Indresano, who regularly take the train.
Call was on the night shift and bus riders told FOX25 he took the bus home at the end of the shift. He was walking home from the bus stop when he was hit.
