Rodgers did not wear a mask when speaking with reporters, which also goes against the rules, the Times reported.
Green Bay didn’t approve the party, and was only made aware of it after the event. The fine was a result of the team not reporting the violation to the NFL and not punishing the two players, CNN reported.
If the team violates more rules, the Packers could face harsher penalties, such as the loss of draft picks, the Times reported.
News of the fine came a week after Rodgers said he had tested positive for COVID-19 and said that he had not been vaccinated against the illness, the Times reported. He is currently serving a 10-day isolation period. If he is cleared in time, he could play Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.
