Tow truck driver killed on pike to be honored by colleagues

SOUTHBRIDGE, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A funeral is being held for a tow truck driver that was killed last week on the Massachusetts turnpike.

Kevin St. Pierre, 22, was killed while preparing to tow a vehicle in the breakdown lane. Hundreds of tow truck drivers and members of law enforcement are expected to honor St. Pierre at his funeral Saturday in Southbridge at St. John Paul II Parish.

St. Pierre's casket will be adorned with a "Thin Yellow Line" flag, an honor for tow truck industry deaths on the job, according to Kim Lowell, head of the Statewide Towing Association. St. Pierre's name will also be added to the Wall of the Fallen at the International Towing and Recovery Museum in Chattanooga, Tenn.
