Teens accused of having sex on Cape Cod beach as crowds watched

DENNIS, Mass. — Four teenagers are facing charges after they were accused of having sex on a Cape Cod beach on the Fourth of July as crowds looked on.

Some of those teenagers appeared in court Wednesday.

The Herald reports that while dozens of people at Mayflower Beach expressed disgust at the situation, there were just as many people cheering the young couples on.

One of those teens told the Herald he and his girlfriend were just kissing, nothing else.

Police said they think the teens had been drinking.

All four now face disorderly conduct charges.

A friend was also arrested after being accused of trying to keep police from arresting them.
