ANDOVER, Mass. — A 16-year-old male has died from injuries sustained in a single-car rollover crash in Andover, according to Mass. State Police.
The crash occurred around 5 p.m. on Saturday afternoon on I-93 North in the town, north of I-495. Police announced on Sunday that the teen passed away; he was from Tewksbury.

Police say he lost control of the 2018 Mitsubishi SUV he was driving before rolling over and crashing into a signpost. The teen was transported to Lawrence General Hospital and later to Lahey Hospital in Burlington.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by State Police. Andover Fire and EMS assisted State Police at the scene of the crash.
Officials are withholding the victim's name due to his age.
