Suspect in fatal Duxbury hit-and-run pleads not guilty, ordered not to drive

DUXBURY, Mass. — The suspected driver in a hit-and-run that killed a local mother was arraigned on Wednesday morning.

Kristina Blackmore, 38, of Duxbury, is accused of hitting 46-year-old Andrea Gordon with a black Dodge Ram pickup, which was seized by police on Monday afternoon.

Police say they used surveillance video from a business near the scene of the hit-and-run to determine the vehicle involved.

Blackmore was arrested Tuesday afternoon after police asked her to come to the station to pick up belongings she left in her truck.

She is charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, negligent operation, failure to stay in marked lanes, and speeding.

During her arraignment on Wednesday morning, Blackstone pleaded not guilty, but admitted to police she was driving the truck at the time of the incident. However, the state says she lied about the timeframe in which she was behind the wheel as well as the reason for the damage to the truck.

Evidence shows Blackmore was at an Ocean State Job Lot and a McDonald's near the site of the crash between 6 and 6:30 p.m.

Blackmore's lawyer said his client is a registered nurse and a longtime resident of the town.

Bail for Blackmore was set at $10,000 cash. If posted, the judge has ordered her not to drive.

Blackmore is due back in court next month.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help Andrea Gordon's family.
