LANCASTER, Mass. — Multiple families are homeless after an overnight fire in Lancaster.
Firefighters said a hoarding situation inside the building made fighting the flames more difficult.
The fire broke out early Tuesday morning on Narrow Lane.
The flames broke out on the third floor just after midnight.
Firefighters told Boston 25 News that when they arrived they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the roof.
The fire chief told Boston 25 News his team had to fight the fire from the outside because they couldn’t make it up the stairs inside.
No injuries were reported.
