Sagamore Bridge now open

BOURNE, Mass. — Good news, folks! The Sagamore Bridge is open.

The contractor, R. Zoppo Corporation of Stoughton, Mass., is now off the bridge and all four travel lanes are open, according to a Facebook post from the United States Army Corps of Engineers, New England.

Over the next few days, however, the contractor will continue to finish up off-roadway work and remove signage.

The construction of the bridge is three weeks ahead of schedule, as the initial completion was slated for May 23rd.
