WEYMOUTH, Mass. — A 75-year-old woman was in stable condition Thursday afternoon after being hit by a minivan on a busy road in Weymouth, David Traub, a spokesperson for the Norfolk County District Attorney's office, told Boston 25 News.
The woman was struck around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday while crossing Park Avenue, near the Park Avenue Market.

The driver of the minivan, a 78-year-old Weymouth man, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The woman was rushed to South Shore Hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries. Her name hasn't been released, but she's a Weymouth resident.
The Weymouth Police Crash Analysis and Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash.
No citations have been issued at this point.
