Onyango Obama has hardship lifted from MA driver's license

(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – President Barack Obama's uncle has his full license back.

A spokesperson for the Registry of Motor Vehicles tells FOX 25 Onyango Obama visited an RMV branch in Worcester Tuesday to have the hardship restriction lifted from his license.

Onyango Obama lost his license for 45 days after reaching a plea deal connected with his OUI arrest last year. But after making that deal, Obama applied for and was granted a hardship license, which allowed him to drive to and from work.

Onyango Obama has been in the United States illegally since the 1990s and has been ordered to check in regularly with immigration officials.

The RMV says he provided documentation needed to obtain a license.
