Norwell's fire chief hospitalized following crash in department-issued SUV

NORWELL, Mass. — Norwell’s fire chief was injured in a crash involving his department-issued sports utility vehicle Wednesday morning, Norwell Town Manager Peter Morin confirmed to Boston 25 News.

Morin said Andrew Reardon is at South Shore Hospital, but he doesn’t appear to have suffered any serious injuries. Doctors will monitor him overnight.

Hanover Fire tweeted three vehicles were involved in a crash around 9:15 a.m. in the 2000 block of Washington Street (Route 53). Four people in total were taken to area hospitals by ambulances.

Morin didn’t have any specific details about the crash.
