New arrest records released for suspected NH serial killer

Investigators have learned new information on the man believed to be responsible for the murder of four people and the disappearance of another.

In January, New Hampshire authorities released information on Bob Evans, the suspect in the disappearance and likely murder of Denise Beaudin, who went missing in 1981 from Manchester. He is also believed to have killed four unidentified people, one adult female and three children, in Allenstown in 1985 and 2000.

Authorities have since learned that Bob Evans' real name is Terry Peder Rasmussen and began looking into his past.

Police say Rasmussen was arrested in Arizona in April 1973 as a fugitive from justice. The newly released booking photo is from this arrest. He was also arrested by Phoenix police in June 1975 for aggravated assault. Police believe his wife and children left him soon after this arrest.

Investigators learned Rassmussen was last seen by his family in Payson, Arizona around Christmas of 1974 when he showed up to visit his wife and children with an unknown woman, whom police are working to identify.

Investigators are trying to learn his whereabouts during the mid to late 1970s. They believe he was possibly in New Hampshire, Texas, Arizona, California, Oregon and Virginia during that time. He became known as Bob Evans around 1978 and also went by the names Curtis Kimball, Gordon Jenson, Gerry Mockerman and Lawrence William Vanner.
