LAWRENCE, Mass. — A Methuen man is charged with OUI after a hit and run in Lawrence Saturday morning that severely injured a 30-year-old woman.
Twenty-four-year-old John Quiceno was arrested shortly after 1 a.m. after hitting a woman in a crosswalk on Essex St. in Lawrence. The hit sent the woman about 50 feet and caused serious injuries, and she was taken to Lawrence General Hospital before being transferred to Beth Israel in Boston for surgery.
After the accident, Quinceno fled from the scene and was quickly found by the Massachusetts State Police. His car had visible front end damage and a broken windshield.

Quinceno is being charged with OUI and leaving the scene of an accident causing personal injury, and police say further charges may be on the way.
