MISSOURI (MyFoxBoston.com) -- One Missouri man didn’t get the chance to pass go, but he did go straight to jail. Too bad it was a real jail and not the spot on a Monopoly board.

According to the Stone County Sheriff’s Department, John Litton, 69, participated in an annual Monopoly tournament with others in the community. Tournament organizers told Litton he would not be invited to participate in this year’s tournament due to unsportsmanlike behavior at the event last year.

According to WXIN, a disgruntled Litton arrived at the 7th Annual Stone County OACAC Monopoly Tournament in Branson West, where he started a fight with the organizers after hearing of their decision.

He was arrested Friday and was charged with multiple counts of third-degree assault and disturbing the peace.

No serious injuries were reported.
