QUINCY, Mass. — A Weymouth man involved in a serious crash involving his two children appeared in court today.
State Police say the man crashed his truck onto a guardrail on Route 3 in Weymouth, where the impact caused his 3-year-old son to be thrown out of the truck onto the highway.
The crash was reported Saturday night.
The unidentified child was taken to Boston Children’s Hospital after he was thrown from the truck being driven by 34-year-old Florian Roshi.

Police said Roshi was high on drugs when he veered out of the travel lane, hit the guardrail and then back into the travel lane. Police said he overcorrected, and that caused the little boy to be thrown from the truck and onto the road.
According to an investigation on scene, police reportedly also found drugs inside the truck.
The 3-year-old was not wearing a seatbelt.
There was also an 8-year-old boy in the truck, but he was not injured. He’s now in the custody of authorities.
Roshi first told police he was on the phone when he heard the back window go down.
The suspect's father spoke to the Boston Herald and said that his son is the father of the two boys and that Roshi is "depressed and crying" about what happened and that he loves his kids.
Roshi was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs, child endangerment and a safety restraint violation.
DCF is now working with the family to make sure all of the suspect's kids are in safe homes.
